Jeera Wheat Suji/Lapsi/Semolina

  • How to make Jeera Wheat Suji/Lapsi:

  • Ingredients:
         1. Wheat Suji/Lapsi (1-2 small bowl)
         2. Oil (half tspn)
         3. Cumin seeds (jeera)
         4. Salt to taste
         5. Water (1-2 cups)

  • Preaparation & Cooking:
         1. Heat oil in a broad vessel, add cumin seeds.
         2. After the cumin seeds crackle add salt & wheat suji/lapsi. Saute for
             3-4 mins.
         3. Add about 1 cup of water,mix well.
         4. Cover the lid and cook for 15-20 mins.
         5. Add water if required for cooking completely.
         6. Serve with dal fry & enjoy the meal. For Dal Fry see Toovar dal fry

  • Servings: Three - Four

  • Notes:
        1. This is very easy & quick lunch recipe. So try this recipe.
        2. Add water time to time so that the jeera wheat suji is non-sticky.
        3. This recipe is just like jeera rice. For those who want to lose weight & want
            to avoid rice in their diet,this is a better option for them, as this is easy 
            to digest & fiber content is also more.
