Urad Dal Fry


  • How to make urad dal fry:





  • Ingredients:
          1. Urad Dal (1 & half small bowl)
          2. Oil (1 tblspn)
          3. Mustard seeds (rai)
          4. Cumin seeds (jeera)
          5. Garlic (5-6 cloves chopped)
          6. Tomato (1 no chopped)
          7. Green Chillies (1-2 no chopped)
          8. Red chilli powder (1-2 tspn)
          9. Curry leaves/kadipatta
         10. Salt to taste
         11. Water
         12. Turmeric powder (haldi)
         13. Coriander leaves



  • Preparation & Cooking:
          1. Soak the urad dal for 1-2 hrs.
          2. Heat oil in broad wok/kadhai. Add the mustard & cumin seeds & curry
              leaves.
          3. Add the chopped garlic cloves,green chillies,tomato and turmeric powder 
              saute for 1 min.
          4. Wash clean the urad dal and add,saute for 2-3 mins.
          5. Add the red chilli powder,salt and mix all the ingredients well.
          6. Add 2 cups of water and cook for 15-20 mins.
          7. Garnish with coriander leaves.


  • Servings: Three
