Paneer Pulao

  • How to make Paneer Pulao:
          HI everyone. This pulao is for paneer lovers. Usually, while making some pulao 
          paneer is used in combination with veggies like cauliflower,green peas,capsicum etc. 
         This pulao has mainly paneer not with any veggie combination. I hope you will try 
         this recipe and like it. So,here's the recipe

  • Ingredients:
          1. Basmati rice (2 & half small bowl)
          2. Onion (1 no medium )
          3. Tomato (1 no medium)
          4. Paneer (100-150 gm)
          5. Ginger-Garlic paste/Wet masala
          6. Turmeric powder (haldi)
          7. Red chilli powder (1-2 tspn)
          8. Garam masala (1-2 tspn)
          9. Salt to taste
         10. Oil (1 tblspn)
         11. Mustard seeds (rai)
         12. Cumin seeds (jeera)
         13. Asafoetida/hing powder ( a pinch)
         14. Coriander leaves to garnish
         15. Water

  • Preparation & Cooking:
          1. Soak the basmati rice in water for 15-20 mins.
          2. Crumble some paneer pieces & keep it aside. Stir fry rest of the paneer cubes.
          3. Grind the onion & tomato together in the grinder to make a puree.
          4. Heat oil in a broad wok/kadhai. Add the mustard & cumin seeds,
              chopped green chillies.
          5. Slowly add the tomato-onion puree and saute for 1 min.
          6. Add the crumbled paneer,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,ginger-garlic paste
              saute for 2 mins.
          7. Add a pinch of asafoetida/hing powder,garam masala & salt to taste.
          8. Mix and saute for 2-3 mins.
          9. Wash & clean the soaked basmati rice and add in the curry, do not mix ,add 2
              cups of water and cover with the lid.
          10. After 4-5 mins, mix the rice with all the ingredients.
          11. Cover with the lid and cook for 15-20 mins on low flame.
          12. Once the rice is cooked add the fried paneer cubes and mix well,after 1 min
                 cover & turn off the heat.
          13. Garnish with coriander leaves.
          14. Serve & enjoy the paneer pulao with mix koshimbir-see link Mix Koshimbir
