Lemony Lemon Rice

  • How to make lemon rice:






  • Ingredients:
          1. Cooked Rice (3-4 small bowl)
          2. Oil (1 tbspn)
          3. Curry leaves/Kadipatta
          4. Mustard seeds(rai)
          5. Cumin seeds (jeera)
          6. Onion (1 no chopped)
          7. Green chillies (2-3 no chopped)
          8. Dry red chilli (1 no broke)
          9. Turmeric powder (haldi)
         10. Lemon juice (of 1 no lemon no seeds)
         11. Urad dal (1 small tspn)
         12. Groundnut seeds ( less than a handful)
         13. Tomato (1 no small chopped)
         14. Salt to taste


  • Preparation & Cooking:
          1. Heat oil in a broad kadhi/wok, add mustard & cumin seeds.
          2. After the seeds crackle,add urad dal, groundnut,dry red chilli and curry leaves
              saute for 1 min.
          3. Add the chopped onion, green chillies,tomato and saute for 2 mins.
          4. Then add the turmeric powder,saute and add the lemon juice.
          5. Mix all the ingredients and add the cooked rice,add salt to taste and mix
              well.
          6. The lemon rice is quick to makeand ready to eat.
