Elaichi Shrikhand


  • How to make elaichi shrikhand:










  • Ingredients:
          1. Curd (800 gm)
          2. Cardamon seeds/Elaichi powder
          3. Sugar (10-12 tspn)
          4. Almonds to garnish
          5. Cashewnuts (optional)


  • Preparation:
          1. Take out the curd in a muslin cloth,tie a tight knot and drain out the water 
              from curd by hand.
          2. To drain the water from the curd completely,hang the muslin cloth overnight.
          3. Ensure that the water is completely drained.Take out the creamy soft curd in
              a bowl.
          4. Add the sugar to the creamy soft curd and let it dissolve for 5 mins.
          5. Churn all the ingredients together for 10-15 mins till all the sugar gets dissolved
              and curd becomes more soft.
          6. Add cardamon/elaichi powder about half to one tspn, cut cashewnut pieces
              and mix well.
          7. Cut out the almonds in thin slices and garnish the shrikhand.
          8. Fresh elaichi shrikhand is ready to eat at home.
          9. Store it in refrigerator and consume within 2 days.
