  • Cauliflower with Kabuli Chana & Green Vatana (Peas):







  • Ingredients:
          1. Cauliflower (florets-250 gm)
          2. Green Vatana/Peas (1/4 small bowl soaked overnight)
          3. Kabuli Chana/Chick Peas (1/4 small bowl soaked overnight)
          4. Oil (1 tblspn)
          5. Garlic-Ginger paste/Wet Masala
          6. Onion (1 no chopped)
          7. Tomato (1 no chopped)
          8. Turmeric powder (haldi)
          9. Red Chilli powder (1-2 tspn)
         10. Salt to taste
         11. Curry leaves/Kadipatta
         12. Mustard seeds (rai)
         13. Cumin seeds (jeera)
         14. Water
         15. Coriander leaves to garnish



  • Preparation & Cooking:
          1. Heat oil in a broad wok/kadhai. Add the mustard & cumin seeds & curry leaves.
          2. After they crackle add the chopped onion,saute for 1 min & add the wet masala
             / garlic-ginger paste and saute for 1-2 mins.
          3. Clean and add the soaked kabuli chana & green vatana,saute for 2-3 mins.
          4. Add water and cook for 15-20 mins.
          5. Wash clean the cauliflower florets and add to the curry, add turmeric & chilli
               powder and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients well.
          6. Cover the lid and cook for 10 mins.
          7. Garnish with coriander leaves & serve with rotis.




  • Serves: Two-Three
