Bread Pakoda


  • How to make bread pakoda:






  • Ingredients:
          1. White bread
          2. Besan/chana dal flour
          3. Cumin seeds (jeera)
          4. Red chilli powder (1-2 tspn)
          5. Turmeric powder (haldi)
          6. Salt to taste
          7. Oil (for frying)
          8. Water



  • Preparation & Cooking:
          1. Take about 1 small bowl full of besan/chana dal flour in a broad vessel.
          2. Add turmeric powder,cumin seeds,red chilli powder & salt to taste.
          3. Add water slowly and mix all the ingredients to make a fine batter,good
              enough to dip and fry the bread. (not too thick consistency)
         4. Cut the bread piece in two slices diagonally.
         5. Heat oil in a kadhai/broad wok for frying.
         6. Now, dip the bread in the besan batter,cover the bread fully with batter &
             slowly place in the oil.
         7. Fry from both the sides till it is golden brownish in color.
         8. Take out the bread pakoda and place on the tissue paper.
         9. Repeat the steps for making more bread pakodas.
        10. Serve with sauce and a nice cup of tea.



  • Servings: Nine to Ten.
