Bottle Gourd Peel/Lauki Skin Chutney

  •  Lauki Peel Chutney/Laukichya Saalanchi Chutney:






  •  Ingredients:
           1. Bottle Gourd/Lauki Peel (of 1 lauki)
           2. Oil (half tspn)
           3. Dry Coconut grated
           4. Sesame seeds/Til
           5. Chilli powder (half tspn)
           6. Salt to taste
           7. Cumin seeds (jeera)


  • Preparation & Cooking:
          1. Take a nice green (without any spots) bottle gourd/lauki. Peel off the skin.
          2. Clean the peels and cut each peel long/lengthwise in thin pieces/slices.
          3. Heat very less about half tspn of oil in a broad vessel,add cumin & sesame seeds.
          4. After the cumin seeds crackle add the lauki/bottle gourd peel and saute for
              1-2 mins.
          5. Grate small or medium one piece of dry coconut/khobara and add,saute for 2 mins 
               till it is slight brown in color.
          6. Add chilli powder & salt to taste and mix well. Cook for 3-4 mins.
          7. If you wish you can grind it or just serve after cooking with lunch or dinner meals.
