Amrakhand/Mango Flavor Shrikhand

  • How to make amrakhand:

  • Ingredients:
          1. Curd (800 gm)
          2. Cardamon powder/Elaichi powder
          3. Mango pulp (1 no)
          4. Sugar (10-12 tspn)
          5. Almonds to garnish

  • Preparation:
          1. Take out the curd in a muslin cloth,tie a tight knot and drain out the water 
              from curd by hand.
          2. To drain the water from the curd completely,hang the muslin cloth overnight.
          3. Ensure that the water is completely drained.Take out the creamy soft curd in
              a bowl.
          4. Add the sugar and mango pulp pieces to the creamy soft curd.
          5. Churn all the ingredients together for 10-15 mins till all the sugar gets dissolved
              and curd becomes more soft.
          6. Add cardamon/elaichi powder about half to one tspn and mix well.
          7. Cut out the almonds in thin slices and garnish the amrakhand.
          8. Fresh amrakhand is ready to eat at home.
          9. Store it in refrigerator and consume within 2 days.
         10. Serve the chilled amrakhand with puris and enjoy.
