Rawa Sheera

  • Rawa Sheera/Semolina Sheera:


  • Ingredients:
         1. Rawa/Semolina (2 no small bowl)
         2. Sajuk Tup/Pure Ghee (2 tspn)
         3. Sugar (5-6 tspn)
         4. Raisins
         5. Cashewnuts (kaju)
         6. Almonds (badam)
         7. Water (2 cups)
         8. Salt (optional)
         9. Elaichi/Cardamom seeds (of 2-3 cloves)

  • Preparation & Cooking:
          1. Heat the sajuk tup/pure ghee in a kadhai/wok. Once it melts add the rawa.
          2. Saute the rawa/semolina on the low flame till the rawa is brownish in color.
          3. Once the rawa is roasted turn off the heat. Heat water till it is lukewarm.
          4. Add the lukewarm water to the rawa. Turn on the heat on the rawa side
              and cover the lid for about 1 min.
          5. Add the sugar and just a pinch of salt (optional), add  some water if required.
          6. Mix all the ingredients well. Cut the almonds and cashew-nuts in small pieces,
              crush elaichi seeds and add to the rawa.
          7. Cook the sheera for 2-3 mins on low flame.
          8. The rawa sheera is ready to eat.

         1. You can use fresh grated coconut or grated dry coconut also for garnishing 
             along-with the dry fruits.
