How to make Ragi/Nachani Dosa

  • Ragi/Nachani Dosa                                                                                  


           1. Urad Dal (1 small bowl)
           2. Ragi/Nachani flour (1 small bowl)
           3. Salt

            Preparation & Cooking:
           1. Clean & soak one small bowl of urad dal for 4-5 hrs.
           2. Grind the urad dal in the mixer-grinder by adding half cup of water.
           3. Now mix the ragi/nachani flour with the ground urad dal batter properly.
           4. Now keep this ragi-urad batter overnight to ferment.
           5.Add water, if the batter is too thick, to attain proper dosa consistency.
           6. Place your non stick pan on the heat stove, spread some oil initially.
           7. Pour a ladelful of the batter and spread using circular motion
               to make a thin dosa.
           8. After spreading increase the flame to high for 1 min.
           9. Add some oil using a small spoon on the sides,decrease the flame to low
               and  cover with a plate, cook for 2-3 mins on one side.
          10. Check the side till is golden-brownish color and remove from the heat.
          11. Serve hot with chutney of your choice like groundnut or coconut chutney.
          12. Repeat with the remaining batter to make more dosas.
           Servings: Two
